The IFLA Governing Board and Irish National Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 World Library and Information Congress (WLIC).
Due to the on-going COVID-19 crisis and the increasing impossibility to hold a safe and sustainable congress, the World Library and Information Congress has been postponed to 2022 in Dublin.
Registrations are now closed.
As part of IFLA’s cancellation decision, IFLA has decided to reimburse your registration fee in full. No handling charge will apply.
On 27 April, IFLA will begin refunding your registration fee. Your credit card will be reimbursed with the registration fee as your payment was received in this way. If you are happy to receive your full registration fee, you have nothing further to do.
The World Library and Information Congress is one of the ways in which IFLA receives funds to support its activities throughout the year. Given the contribution of WLIC to IFLA’s budget, the cancellation decision was not made lightly.
If you are able to, we ask that you consider making a contribution from your registration fee to assist the work that IFLA undertakes on behalf of libraries around the globe.
If you wish to do this, please:
Send an email quoting your participant number and name at firstname.lastname@example.org
Tell us how much you would like to contribute. The remaining amount will be reimbursed to your credit card.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING IFLA!
