Satellite meeting focus
Knowledge Management (KM) principles and human behavior: how do we inspire, engage, connect in KM? It’s inevitable – different personalities, learning styles, geography, culture and other factors will play into how we perceive and relate to KM strategy or techniques. This Satellite aims to keep the conversation themes related to practical behaviors in applying KM practices at work.
Questions We’ll Explore:
What aspects of KM are best suited for in-person interaction?
Are digital learning platforms a good support for organizational knowledge sharing?
How can KM thrive in a human-centered approach?
What kind of psychology, cognitive or ethnographic study do we bring to KM practice?
How do the concepts learned in KM programs apply to the real world?
How do we build and engage sharing communities locally and globally?
How does knowledge sharing affect decision-making?
Capturing knowledge in corporate, academic, public libraries or government organizations; how does KM perspective make a difference?
How does KM operate in an environment with conflict or corporate politic? What happens when People know ‘knowledge is power’ and they don’t want to share that power with anyone else!
Successes and failures of knowledge-sharing programs in organizations
How does AI influence (or enhance or advance or detract) from KM in organizations?
What role do digital collections play in a KM organization? (I am trying to get in items that directly connect with digital humanities)
We often consider KM to focus on data and information sharing, how do the humanities contribute to KM in libraries? Our communities?
